On the occasion of the 170th anniversary of the birth of Santiago Ramón y Cajal, the government, through the Department of University, Innovation, and Digital Transformation, has declared 2022 a "Significant Year" to promote the figure of the father of Spanish neuroscience. Consequently, this year has been declared the "Year of Santiago Ramón y Cajal." Throughout this year and until the end of 2024, all kinds of activities will be held to honor his life and discoveries.
The "Federico Olóriz" Institute of Neurosciences in Granada wishes to join this initiative and will showcase activities organized by the Institute itself and other organizations related to this important commemoration on its website.
